Anyway, thanks Rong'en for the input. I realise I might be looking too broadly. What does anyone think about a descriptive piece about definitions of God?
For example, I view God (at this present moment) as an idea, a concept that just happens to be shared by many. Many also view God as an anthromorphic (is that the word? anthro-something, anyway, I'll check up on it later) being that experiences time with us and that has the power to point His finger at a person and say "SMITE." and so on. Some also view God as an eternal being who doesn't experience time as we do, doesn't dabble in human affairs, and so on.
And about my religion vs. God thing, I define religion loosely as more of an institute that happens to result from the worship of God. This idea is largely unformed, so I can't really elaborate, but it sparked at the HCI symposium when I raised a point about the existence of God. I said something about believing in the possibility of the existence of God, but not in the institutional part of religion, with all its propoganda and shit. Shaun then said that he was the direct opposite, not believing in God but in religion in the sense that it promotes morals and stuff.
