here's my thoughts.... individualism ehh... MY THOUGHTS! no pun intended.

hmm... personally, my religion teaches me to believe in dualism. (I think so) and I quite subscribe to the idea without much difficulty. But I dun think I shall go into that...

I quite like the parallel that rong 'en drew between the mutants in the movies and gays in our real life. It's quite similar when you come to think about it. But I don't know how many people would see it the same way. Mainly because we are now "inside the movie" and yes, we would perceive gays as 'a disease'.

But then again, being gay, to the gays, is a lifestyle that they choose to subscribe to. (That's what I think lah...) Many stories that I know of are people who somehow felt that they were gay and then decided and went on to become gays. I also know of others who felt that they were gay but because they wanted to conform to social norms, they continued their lives as per normal, having a wife and children, while suppressing their "gay-ish" (if there's such a word) thoughts.

Maybe I havent been adding on much but rather just repeating what rong 'en has said. Oh well, thanks rong 'en for such a cool insight about the story.

I was watching something and then a thought struck me. Oh yes... what I was watching was a World Cup. Actually, I'm still watching... hehe... Thing is, if newspaper reports are anything to go by, priests have rescheduled prayer sessions in order to accommodate to world cup matches.

Amazing right? What other non-religious movement is able to move religion so deeply? And the best thing about this would be that soccer permeates all religions without crossing any boundaries. It's a good thing ehh?

But my question here is.... why? Why are people willing to stay up late to watch matches? Why are people willing to make sacrifices to watch 1 person having possession of the ball and 21 others chasing him? Why are people paying so much money to watch this 90 minute games? Is the sacrifice worth it?

Somehow, most answers would be in the form of "it's a once in a 4 year thing!!!". But don't you think this movement, as I would like to call it, is something like an addiction for the whole world already? It's even bigger than the Olympics! It's a bigger deal to win the World Cup than to win a Gold medal at the Olympics.

Or maybe that's only how I feel. What do the rest of you think? =)

Bleh... This is like the only outlet for me to exercise KI skills... what are the readings for our KI CT? Haiz.... How have you guys been preparing for it? Just curious....
