You will soon realize something of me and that is I like to use song lyrics as my titles. Go figure.

Anyway. I suppose that martial arts are called arts for a reason. Perhaps those who label it so see some sort of aesthetic pleasure to watching - I know that the wushu performed by schools is definitely solely for show - and as it requires some sort of skill... Damned if I know about the charges, but as for the guy-girl thing...do you honestly think most guys would fuck a girl he didn't like, mind my language? Seriously? Without the attraction, I figure our species would go extinct.

I've read one Mercedes Lackey - the only one in the school library - but I don't look terribly fondly upon her other books. Matter of taste, I suppose. And I don't read Raymond E. Feist - nor Ms./Mrs. Lackey, for that matter - because I've got this thing against scifi. I think it belongs out of old-fashioned printed paper and in new-fangled technology like movies. On this note, I've never heard/taken note of Janny Wurts. And I have a dim view of series like Dragonlance, Forgotten Realms, Star Trek, Star Wars, etc. I think they're too much like fanfiction - a teeny bit too unoriginal. Well, like I said, matter of taste. Oh, and a recommendation to all KI students, guaranteed to blow your minds out - any book by K. J. Parker. It's all fantasy, but everything twists so much...well. And he/she is terribly philosophical. Especially his/her first trilogy. Get it from the lib, impossible to get hold of in book stores...in fact, the first book is almost impossible to get hold of, fullstop. Reservation is necessary.

Well, that's it for now. And if you want the essay, leave your e-mail. Come to it, I'd like to read them too.
